These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") set forth the conditions for use of the macOS application and related services provided by Astra Overlay (hereinafter referred to as "the Service").
Users shall use the Service upon agreeing to these Terms.
Article 1 (Application)
These Terms apply to all relationships between users and the Service regarding the use of the Service.
Guidelines, help documentation, and other materials separately established by the Service shall constitute a part of these Terms.
Article 2 (Service Content)
The Service provides software and related features to help users translate and understand text on macOS.
The Service does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of translation and explanation results.
The content of the Service may be changed, added to, or terminated without prior notice.
Article 3 (Account Registration)
Users may register for the Service using a Google account.
Users shall properly manage their account information and shall not allow third parties to use it.
The Service shall not be liable for any damage caused by inadequate account management or use by third parties.
Article 4 (Fees and Payment)
Fees for paid plans shall be in accordance with the fee schedule separately established by the Service.
Users shall pay fees through the Stripe payment system.
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions and will be automatically renewed unless canceled.
Fees already paid will not be refunded for any reason.
Article 5 (Cancellation)
Users may cancel their subscription at any time from the account management page or Stripe's billing management page.
After cancellation, you may continue to use the Service until the end of the current billing period.
Article 6 (Usage Limits)
Each plan has limits on monthly translation count and translations per minute.
Details of usage limits are displayed on the website or within the app.
If limits are exceeded, translation features may become temporarily unavailable.
Article 7 (Prohibited Activities)
Users shall not engage in the following activities:
- Activities that violate laws or public order and morals
- Activities that interfere with the operation of the Service
- Unauthorized access, reverse engineering, or modification
- Fraudulent or deceptive activities using the Service
- Activities that cause damage to other users or third parties
Article 8 (Intellectual Property Rights)
Copyrights, trademark rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to the Service or legitimate rights holders.
Users may use the Service only within the scope of private use.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
The Service does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of translation results or information.
The Service shall not be liable for any damage arising from use of the Service.
The Service shall not be liable for service interruptions due to communication failures, natural disasters, or other force majeure events.
Article 10 (Changes to Terms)
The Service may change these Terms without notice to users when deemed necessary.
The revised Terms shall take effect when displayed on the Service.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Japanese law.
In the event of any dispute regarding the Service, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
